STEP 1: Preparing for Your DIRECTV Home Installation
To take advantage of DIRECTV satellite TV, you need an unobstructed view of the southern sky, for a direct line of sight to the DIRECTV satellites. When the installer arrives he will be able to help you choose the right spot for the best reception for your DIRECTV satellite dish.
STEP 2: DIRECTV Installation Process
During the free professional installation, your DIRECTV installer will:
- Install the DIRECTV dish on your roof, side of home, balcony, or other best location for unobstructed view of the southern sky.

What if I Have an Apartment?
Many condos and apartment buildings allow for DIRECTV services. In some places, you can order your own DIRECTV, and in others the whole building might be served by just one dish. Before you order, though, it's best to figure out your options for DIRECTV service for apartments or condos.
You may ask your landlord or property owner whether you may install a DIRECTV dish on your rooftop. If this is not allowed, many apartment and condo residents have the dish installed on a private patio or balcony; this will work as long as you have a clear view of the southern sky. To avoid delays in your installation, we recommend getting written or verbal permission from your landlord before scheduling free standard installation.
What if I'm Moving?
